As a Charity we are always looking for Grants to help support the important work we do. We are very grateful to those that support us for Core costs or provide funding for specific projects, activities or equipment.
Who Funds Us?
Uptown was originally funded by Merton council, but, due to austerity, that funding ended in 2016. Since then, we have become a registered charity and our funding now comes from grants and from individual donations.
We have received funding from a range of providers including: The National Lottery, Merton Community Panel; Masonic Foundation; Merton Council Investing in Neighbourhoods; Garfield Weston; UK Youth Fund; London Community Fund; Merton HAF Programme, Children in Need, Comic Relief, the Wimbledon Community Foundation, and Clarion Futures Communities.
These contributions are crucial in helping Uptown to continue providing valuable services to young people, some of whom are from disadvantaged backgrounds in our community.
